Robin Bowerman
Mr. P, aka Gabriel Proust
Robin was trained at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked in most repertory theatres in the country.
His recent theatre work includes Hobsons Choice at the Regents Park Open Air Theatre, This House and People for the National Theatre and Of Mice and Men and The Ashes at Nottingham Playhouse. He also spent 3 1/2 years with Alan Ayckbourns company in Scarborough.
His television appearances include WPC 56. DCI Banks, Death Comes to Pemberley, Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
He has recorded many radio plays for the BBC , most recently in The Archers, numerous Audio Books and voices for audio dramas for Games Workshop.
Joanna McLeod
Muriel, HCA Brenda
Originally from Glasgow, Joanna trained at The Central School of Speech and Drama in London and has gone on to have a varied career in theatre and TV. Theatre credits include Irvine Welsh’s (Trainspotting, Acid House) Marabou Stork Nightmares, which had its UK premier in The Glasgow Citizens Theatre and went on to tour nationally. Other theatre in Scotland includes several plays for the Edinburgh Festival and Cinderella in Stirling and Dundee rep, playing role wicked sister – (not ugly). Film and TV credits include the BAFTA winning Tinsel Town for the BBC, playing a leading role in series 1 and 2. Also for the BBC: Fran’s People, Blackout, Roughnecks and Doctors. Other film and TV includes Poor Angels, Doctors and the New Professionals.
Joanna has also performed many plays for the Nottingham Playhouse including Tom’s Midnight Garden alongside our writer, Tanya Myers
Joanna now lives in Nottingham where she runs a film company, Interaction Film, with her husband, actor Colin Wells.
They regularly write original film scripts, which are often filmed as a “film in a day “ experience for children and young people of all ages.
Ulrike Johannson
Gertie, HCA Hazel
Trained in Vienna’s drama-school – Max-Reinhardt and ITNY (International Theatre New York) in Method Acting. Ulrike has performed in German Main house Theatre for over 30 years also collaborating with other performers to devise original plays including: Clothes Borrowed from my Mates by Claudia Claus (2004), a play about mental disease. Fluent in German, French, English and Swedish, she has worked with puppeteer Mo Bunte from Theater Kranewit in Berlin (www.kranewit.de), touring in USA, and France. In December 2014 she directed for Theater Kranewit the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel with puppeteer Kristina Feix and actress Franziska Hoffmann. Ulrike is a highly experienced Audio and Dubbing artist. She met Tanya Myers and Meeting Ground Theatre Company in 1989 and performed in THE SALE OF THE DEMONIC WOMEN (touring England, Germany and Poland) and THE NIGHT OF THE GREAT SEASON (Edinburgh Festival) She lives in Hamburg and the South of France.
Lily Lowe-Myers
Sophie
Lily Lowe-Myers is an actress, singer and playwright. Lily’s acting credits include lead roles on stage at The Royal Court, Nottingham Lakeside, Manchester’s Contact Theatre, the Nottingham Playhouse and London’s Bridewell Theatre.
As a teenager she gave up eight years of Friday nights to sing in the highly acclaimed choir Cantamus and has sung internationally and for television. She determined to write a new show each year for ten years and is currently creating her third musical following her award-winning success with the international tours of her first two musicals, ‘Truth’s Vision’, and ‘Nicola’.
Lily is a member of SGI, a lay buddhist organisation, that promotes peace, culture and education through personal transformation. She is delighted to return to the part of Sophie in this wonderful show and hopes to be able to draw attention to the incredible efforts of our unsung heroes in the world of dementia care.
Anna Mottram
Anna Bissett, RGN Patricia
Anna is an actress with over 30 years experience in theatre, film and television. She has worked in theatre in Manchester, Coventry, Birmingham and Edinburgh and in London at the Kings Head, Soho Poly and Bush Theatre in new work by writers such as Snoo Wilson, David Edgar and Howard Barker. Her own play Heart-throb (co-written with Jeremy Seabrook) which she also acted in, was produced at the Bush Theatre. Television appearances include Play for Today, The Bill, Blind Justice, The Practice, Casualty, Fingersmith, Doctors and Holby City. Films include Painted Angels (2000) which she co-wrote and starred in alongside Brenda Fricker and Kelly McGillis and two independent feature films, made with her partner Jon Sanders: Low Tide (2007) and Late September (2010), released last year at the ICA and other independent cinemas and now out on DVD. Her film, Back to the Garden, which also co-stars Tanya Myers, was released by Verve Pictures at Curzon Mayfair and cinemas around the country.
Jim Findley
HCA Raj, Tom Bissett
Jim’s previous work at Lakeside includes Inside Out Of Mind and Gulliver’s Travels.
He recently appeared in Of Mice and Men at Nottingham Playhouse where other work includes: Tom’s Midnight Garden, Under the Story Tree, and Moon On A Rainbow Shawl.
Other Theatre work includes: Brecht’s Mr Puntila and his Man Matti for Almeida, Watership Down for Lyric, Hammersmith, The Ghost Downstairs and Moll Cutpurse for New Perspectives, A River Sutra at Three Mills, and Playboy of the West Indies for Oxford Playhouse/Tricycle Theatre.
He co-adapted and performed V.S Naipaul’s novel Miguel Street as a one-man show for Edinburgh’s Theatre Workshop, Latchmere and Andrew’s Lane, Dublin.

Rebecca D’Souza
Youth
Rebecca trained at Birmingham School of Acting and is a founder member of the Nottingham Actors Workshop. She is an actor and singer with a passion for storytelling and making human connections. She is based in Nottingham and has worked extensively with Nottingham Playhouse, with Roundabout Theatre and the Playhouse Etcetera Ensemble at the Nottingham European Arts and Theatre Festival. She has performed internationally in sell out shows in Edinburgh, Strasbourg, London and New York. She is a member of The Gramophones Theatre Company, an all female ensemble devising new work in the East Midlands and touring nationally. Other work includes award winning short film The Launderette, and Golden Fables, a multi media poetry performance at Latitude Festival and recorded for BBC Radio Lincolnshire. She was lucky enough to be involved in the development work for Inside Out of Mind and is thrilled to be returning to the show following her recent maternity leave.
Maxine Finch
Elsie, RGN Grace
Maxine trained at Dartington college of Arts, and has worked in Theatre, Television and Film for over 25 years. She has recently finished performing at Hampstead Theatre in State Red where she played the role of Joyce.
Her theatre works include All Different, All Equal (Women in Theatre), Precious (Theatre Centre), Tituba in The Crucible (Welsh National Theatre), Unsent Letters & In Balance (Hearth Theatre), Skybus (Derby Live), Getting it Straight (The Works) and Inside Out Of Mind (Meeting Ground/Nottingham Playhouse).
